$10 donation gets a t-shirt and two mullet tosses. Men, women and childrens divisions. Event will be held on the beach with lots of prizes and fun!

Big Bend Saltwater Classic Fishing Tournament
Date: June 13-15, 2008
Location: Carrabelle
Largest non-profit saltwater fishing tournament in Northwest Florida. Adult & youth divisions, individual & team competition; thousands in prizes and cash. The Classic may be the fastest growing tournament in Florida, if not the entire Southeast, according to Florida Sportsman magazine.

Port St. Joe Independence Day Celebration
Date: July 4, 2008
Location: Port St. Joe - Frank Pate Park
Black's Island Pirate Band attacks passing ships in the waters off Frank Pate Park. Vendors and displays are set up in the park all day; pirates visit with kids after landing. After fun in the park the party moves to the Port St. Joe Marina for evening fireworks display, live band and party.

Port St. Joe Scallop Festival

The annual festival celebrates the succulent shellfish for which the area is famous. Arts & crafts, food vendors and entertainment. The Chamber of Commerce sells frozen scallops, and everyone has a good time. This new venue will provide great shade(!) for those attending and working, and is close to downtown.

Annual Apalachicola Christmas Celebration
